Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd (REC)’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Policy is --- “To remain a responsible corporate entity mindful of its social responsibilities to all stakeholders including consumers, share holders, employees, local community and society at large”.

REC CSR focus areas are: Health Care, Rural Electrification, Sanitation, Safe drinking water, Education, Women empowerment, Sustainable Development, Rural Industry Promotion, community plantation and forestry programmes, promotion of art and culture.

In line with REC CSR guidelines, REC has decided to execute a CSR project in Bhadohi parliamentary constituency of Uttar Pradesh (UP). Under this CSR project, 110 nos. of SPV LED street lights are under installation in various villages of Bhadohi to achieve following objectives:
